• Welcome!

Art Direction is like graphic design working with the big picture and a la carte refers to smaller portions. For small- and medium-sized businesses, a full-time

artist on staff isn't practical, cost-wise and keeping him busy. I'd like to offer you the long-term continuity, creativity and collaborative service of an Art Director on a project-by-project basis.

    What's on the menu?

    Logo Design

It has to not only reflect your business, what you do, who you are, and it needs to be attractive to your target market. You have all of that information, it's up to me to create a design that brings all of these elements together and is versatile to suit any way you want to use it.

    Visual Branding

If you think this just refers to your logo, you might miss out on a lot of opportunities. Branding is how you present yourself to your customers, what you say, how you say it, even what you do. Visual branding is how you keep all of that consistent, so hopefully your customer would recognize you even without your logo!

    Marketing Material

Whether it's printed material, digital or video, when you market your product or service, your message should be clear to your customer. In order to get your customer to respond to it, it should also be memorable. Make it entertaining, fun, and different than your competitors!

    Colour Theory
Colour is very important to design, it can direct a viewer's eye, add emotion, even trigger a memory of past exposure to the same colour combination. I choose colour that will enhance and strengthen the idea behind a design.

    Typography

Lettering should be easy to read. To a customer, it can suggest artistic style, time period, culture, personality, and a lot of other ideas. Too many fonts make your project look amateurish, fonts that don't work well together will turn off a viewer, and a font that has been over-used may suggest an association to a brand you just don't want.
